Talk by artist Donna Shilling on Friday 7 September at Dartington Space. Buy festival pass today
In September 2008 I walked to Dartington from London, reverse-tracing the route I took for my CEP, to physically mark the departure of the College. Conversations were recorded along the way with former tutors and students who each walked for a day, sharing thoughts on what was important about the college, its pedagogy, and approach to art-making and performance. These personal reflections present a multivocal account of Dartington’s influence, offering fragments of memories, connections, histories, knowledge, frustrations, appreciations, perceptions, ghosts, possibilities. In this talk, audio excerpts of these meandering dialogues will be presented alongside photographic documentation from the walk.
